Overview
Embark on a thrilling 3 Days Gorilla Trekking Safari in Rwanda and explore the iconic Volcanoes National Park, home to the majestic mountain gorillas, rare golden monkeys, and the legendary legacy of Dian Fossey. This unforgettable journey includes a Kigali city tour, an enriching visit to the Iby’iwacu Cultural Village, and close-up encounters with one of the world’s most endangered primates.
Nestled in Rwanda’s northwestern region, Volcanoes National Park spans 62 square miles of lush rainforest and is part of the greater Virunga Conservation Area. The park shelters five extinct volcanoes—Karisimbi, Bisoke, Muhabura, Gahinga, and Sabinyo—offering breathtaking scenery and rich biodiversity. Apart from gorillas, visitors may spot golden monkeys, forest elephants, black-fronted duikers, bushbucks, and over 178 bird species.
Upon arrival, our professional guide from Freundlich safaris ltd will meet you at your hotel or Kigali International Airport. After a detailed briefing, begin your day with a Kigali city tour, featuring highlights like the Gisozi Genocide Memorial, local markets, and the King’s Palace. Enjoy lunch in the city before embarking on a scenic two-hour drive through Rwanda’s stunning highlands—aptly nicknamed the “Land of a Thousand Hills”—towards Volcanoes National Park.
