Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport – Hotel Transfer & Optional Botanical Gardens Visit

Your journey begins the moment you land at Entebbe International Airport, where a friendly Freundlich Safaris Uganda representative will warmly welcome you. After a short 10–20-minute transfer to your hotel on the shores of Lake Victoria, you’ll check in, freshen up, and receive a detailed briefing about your upcoming adventure.

If time allows, enjoy an optional visit to the Entebbe Botanical Gardens, a tranquil spot filled with monkeys, colorful birds, and tropical flora, a perfect way to ease into Uganda’s vibrant wildlife.

Day 2: Entebbe – Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – Murchison Falls National Park

After an early breakfast, embark on your scenic journey to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest park. En route, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an exhilarating rhino tracking experience, the only place in Uganda where you can see rhinos in the wild.

With the guidance of an expert ranger, follow these gentle giants on foot for a truly unforgettable wildlife encounter. Continue to Kabalega Diner for lunch before heading to the park, where you’ll visit the Top of Murchison Falls an awe inspiring sight as the Nile River squeezes through a 7-meter gorge and plunges 43 meters below.

In the evening, enjoy an optional night game drive, a rare opportunity to spot nocturnal creatures like leopards, hyenas, and civets under the starlit African sky.

Day 3: Murchison Falls – Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Nile Boat Cruise

After lunch and a short rest, embark on an afternoon boat cruise along the Nile River to the base of Murchison Falls. You’ll glide past hippos, crocodiles, and countless water birds while watching elephants and buffaloes drinking at the riverbanks a moment that defines the beauty of African wilderness.

Day 4: Murchison Falls – Scenic Drive to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, drive south through Uganda’s picturesque countryside toward Kibale Forest National Park, known as the “Primate Capital of the World.” Along the way, enjoy rolling hills, tea plantations, and breathtaking views of the Rwenzori Mountains.

Upon arrival, visit the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community conservation project that offers incredible sightings of primates and over 130 bird species, including the Great Blue Turaco. You’ll also learn about local traditions like coffee roasting and banana gin brewing a wonderful way to connect with Uganda’s people.

Day 5: Kibale Forest – Chimpanzee Tracking & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early breakfast, head to the Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for a briefing before your chimpanzee tracking experience. With your ranger guide, follow chimpanzees deep into the tropical forest and spend an hour observing their fascinating behavior grooming, playing, and communicating with each other.

After this extraordinary experience, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where savannah meets crater lakes and volcanic plains. Settle into your lodge and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth – Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Start the day with a sunrise game drive through the Kasenyi Plains, one of the park’s best areas for spotting lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, and antelopes.

In the afternoon, take a relaxing boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a 32-kilometer natural waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. Watch as hippos, crocodiles, and water birds line the shores while elephants and buffaloes come to drink a scene straight out of a nature documentary.

Day 8: Bwindi – Gorilla Trekking Experience – Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Today is the highlight of your safari, the mountain gorilla trek. After a morning briefing, set off with experienced rangers into the dense forest in search of a gorilla family. The trek may take 2 to 6 hours, but the reward is extraordinary, spending one precious hour in the company of these gentle giants, watching them feed, play, and interact.

Afterward, drive to the tranquil Lake Bunyonyi, surrounded by terraced hills and dotted with small islands. Relax and unwind after days of adventure.
