Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

The safari begins with a warm pickup from Kampala or Entebbe by a professional Freundlich Safaris guide. A scenic drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is undertaken for a thrilling on-foot rhino tracking experience. After lunch, the journey continues to Murchison Falls National Park, entering through Kichumbanyobo Gate near Masindi. Upon arrival, guests settle into their lodge and enjoy a relaxing evening surrounded by nature.

Day 2: Game Drive & Boat Cruise on the Nile River

An early breakfast is followed by a rewarding morning game drive across the Nile Delta region, where elephants, Rothschild’s giraffes, lions, buffaloes, and Uganda kobs are frequently sighted. After lunch, a breathtaking boat cruise to the base of Murchison Falls is enjoyed, revealing hippos, crocodiles, and abundant wildlife along the riverbanks. The day is crowned with an invigorating hike to the top of the falls before returning to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, a scenic drive to Kibale Forest National Park—the primate capital of East Africa—is undertaken. Rolling hills, tea plantations, and picturesque countryside views highlight the journey. Arrival is in the evening, followed by check-in and relaxation at the lodge.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Swamp Walk – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP

A morning briefing at the park headquarters ushers in an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience. The search through Kibale’s dense forest may take 2–5 hours, after which a full hour is spent observing the chimpanzees in their natural surroundings. After lunch, a guided walk through Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary introduces visitors to incredible birdlife and primate species. Later, the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park begins, with arrival in the evening.

Day 5: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Safari

The day starts with a game drive across the Kasenyi Plains, a region famous for predator sightings and large herds of elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes. After lunch, a relaxing boat safari along the Kazinga Channel offers close-up views of hippos, crocodiles, water birds, and wildlife drinking along the shoreline—creating one of the best photographic moments of the safari.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi via Ishasha – Tree-Climbing Lions

A smooth drive to the southern Ishasha sector is undertaken after breakfast. The area is renowned for the rare tree-climbing lions, often seen lounging on fig tree branches. After the game drive, the journey proceeds to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Guests arrive in the evening to unwind and prepare for the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

An early start leads to the park headquarters for a briefing on mountain gorilla trekking. Accompanied by experienced rangers, the trek begins through the dense, mist-covered forest. Once a habituated gorilla family is located, one powerful and emotional hour is spent observing these gentle giants in the wild—a moment regarded as one of Africa’s most life-changing experiences. After the trek, guests return to the lodge for relaxation and celebration.

Day 8: Return to Kampala or Entebbe – End of Safari
