Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park

You’ll travel along the scenic southwestern Uganda route, with a memorable stopover at the equator in Kayabwe for photographs and a visit to the local craft market. The journey continues through rolling hills and lush countryside as you head toward Mbarara for a lunch break, then proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park in Kasese District. On arrival, check in at your preferred lodge, Mweya Safari Lodge, Parkview Safari Lodge, or Pumba Safari Cottages, for relaxation and dinner.

Day 2: Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Rise early for a sunrise game drive through the Kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s top wildlife hotspots. Here, you’ll have the chance to spot four of the Big Five, lions, elephants, leopards, and buffalos, along with antelopes, warthogs, hyenas, waterbucks, and numerous bird species. Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kyambura Gorge & Transfer to Bwindi

Hike through steep trails as you listen for their calls and witness them swinging through the trees and foraging. You’ll also encounter black-and-white colobus monkeys, baboons, and various birdlife. After the trek, enjoy a packed or restaurant lunch before setting off on a 4–5 hour scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Check into your chosen lodge, Gorilla Safari Lodge or Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge—for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today is the highlight of your safari, an awe-inspiring encounter with the endangered mountain gorillas. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing by rangers on gorilla trekking guidelines. Your trek through the dense, misty forest can last between 2 to 8 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family you’re tracking. Once found, you’ll spend a magical hour observing them in their natural habitat, feeding, grooming, and playing. This rare and emotional experience is truly once in a lifetime. Return to your lodge for a well-deserved rest, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi & Island Boat Tour

After breakfast, depart for Lake Bunyonyi, a two-hour drive through scenic highland terrain known as the “Switzerland of Africa.” Lake Bunyonyi, dotted with 29 islands, is one of the deepest and most beautiful lakes in Africa. Upon arrival, enjoy a boat or canoe ride to explore several historical islands. Visit Kyahugye Island to spot zebras and antelopes, Akampene Island (Punishment Island) where young pregnant girls were once exiled, and Bwama Island, where a former leprosy hospital was established by missionary Dr. Leonard Sharp. Spend the evening relaxing at your lakeside lodge, Arcadia Cottages, Lake Bunyonyi Eco Resort, or Bunyonyi Overland Resort.

Day 6: Return to Entebbe and Departure

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before embarking on your journey back to Entebbe. This drive takes approximately 8–9 hours, with a lunch stop in Mbarara town along the way. Depending on your departure time, your guide will drop you off at your preferred lodge in Entebbe or directly at Entebbe International Airport for your flight.
