Overview:
Experience the breathtaking beauty and thrilling wildlife encounters of Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area with this 4-day Murchison Falls National Park wildlife safari. From dramatic waterfalls and scenic boat cruises to unforgettable game drives and chimpanzee tracking in Budongo Forest, this safari promises an exciting immersion into Uganda’s diverse natural wonders.
Begin your adventure with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. After a short briefing, embark on a scenic drive northwest towards Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way, enjoy rolling countryside views, rural homesteads, and roadside markets.
Make a memorable stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided nature walk to track Uganda’s only wild rhinos on foot. Learn about rhino conservation efforts and get impressively close to these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.
After lunch in Masindi town, continue to the park and enter through the southern Kichumbanyobo Gate. Proceed straight to the iconic Top of the Falls, where the mighty Nile River forces its way through a narrow 7-meter gorge, plunging 45 meters with thunderous power. Capture stunning photos and marvel at the roaring waterfall before heading to your lodge for check-in and dinner.

Keep an eye out for elusive leopards resting in the trees or stalking their prey through the grass.
After an exciting morning of wildlife viewing, return to the lodge for a hearty lunch and some relaxation.
In the afternoon, head to Paraa Jetty for a thrilling boat safari on the Nile. Cruise upstream towards the base of Murchison Falls, where you’ll see hippos wallowing, crocodiles basking, and an abundance of waterbirds like kingfishers, herons, and fish eagles. Along the way, elephants and buffaloes often come to drink at the riverbanks.
The highlight is arriving at the base of the falls, where you can feel the spray and hear the roar of the Nile before returning downstream.
