The trek through Bwindi’s mist-shrouded forest can take 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location. Once found, spend a magical hour observing these magnificent creatures as they eat, play, and interact in their natural environment, an experience that ranks among the world’s most moving wildlife encounters.
After the trek, return to your lodge for a well deserved lunch and rest. In the afternoon, consider an optional cultural walk to visit the local Batwa pygmy community and learn about their traditional forest lifestyle.
